Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can be converted from a single to double stroller by the addition of a second seat or glider board (sold separately). The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection can be configured to a triple travel system with the addition of an infant car seat. It offers 24 configurations and is a top-rated stroller overall. This model utilizes Baby Jogger's comfortable, breathable TENCEL fabrics that help with thermal regulation and are sustainably sourced. It comes with a premium leatherette handlebar and bumper bar, as well as an abdominal bar. It folds 20% smaller than the leading single-to-double stroller, the UPPAbaby Vista V2, and is also lighter.
It has a medium-sized sunshade and a handy magnetic peek-aboo window that is simple to open and close. The telescoping handlebar is one of the easiest to adjust and is suitable for parents of all heights. The seats recline and come with a footwell adjustment knob so you can position your child to ensure maximum comfort. The storage bin has plenty of space, however we would have preferred a more secure latch. It's easy to access but we found the zippers a bit difficult to use since they need to be removed completely and reattached for each use.
Like its brothers, the City Select has single-action brakes which are easy to set and release with the pull of a lever on the side of the frame lower than the handlebar. It's comfortable for barefoot and sandals and is a step up from the awkward toe-pinch brake lever that a few of the competitors use.
This is the only stroller we've examined that accepts two infant seats. It's an excellent choice for parents with twins or expecting a baby soon. It can be used with all major brands infant car seats by using an adapter. We tested it using Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30, Graco Click Connect models Cybex Aton and Aton Q, and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is a good alternative for families who already own a car seat, but are looking for a stroller that can accommodate it. However, you may be better served with another convertible stroller in this case.
